FAQ

 

Is your furniture made in the U.S.A.?



Yes, our furniture is Hand built by Brandon in our woodshop located in Chicago, IL with as much U.S.A. sourced materials as possible. Our cabinets are a mix of solid hardwood and real wood veneers. Cabinets with drawers feature dovetailed solid hard maple boxes with a solid Walnut face. Our cabinet cases are made from Grade A cabinet ply with real wood veneer. This allows us to offer a very stable high quality walnut or maple cabinet at an affordable price.  All finishes are environmentally friendly low VOC water paints and stains, 

Ordering



All orders are place through our website. If you are interested in having a custom piece made please contact us at departmentchicago@gmail.com or on our contact form above.  

Shipping

 

We are not able to ship to international locations, U.S. territories, Alaska & Hawaii. 



Large items - Ship via white glove service / Greyhound Package Express (GPX) Home delivery. We will contact you with shipping the info once the package has been scheduled / picked up.  If shipped white glove, our shipper will contact you while in route to schedule delivery. White glove service is not available in all locations. GPX shipping, will contact you to schedule a home delivery once it arrives in your area. 

 

Small/Medium items - Ship via Grey Hound Package Express |  UPS  |  FedEx 

Damaged Items - We do everything we can to avoid damage during shipping. Although it is rare it can happen.

 

* If your item arrives damaged, if possible do not accept the item(s). If you find damage once your item is unpacked please contact us immediately, take detailed pictures of the damage and keep all packaging materials. This ensures we are able to file an insurance claim and that the process goes smoothly. Failure to document and save any packaging materials will prohibit an insurance claim to proceed and we will not be able to repair / replace the item(s) for you. You will be responsible for any return shipping or replacement costs.

Most major credit cards are accepted through Paypal.

How do I pay if I don't have a Paypal account?



If you don’t have a PayPal account, you can create a new account at checkout. If you don’t want to create an account, you can pay using a credit or debit card

Returns & Refunds



We are a very small shop and can not accept returns / issue refunds. Please be sure to read all info about the listed item. Please ask us as many questions as possible before ordering. We will do everything we can to ensure you are 100% satisfied with your purchase.
